Now, John altered the structure of Delavo ™ a while ago.  He removed one of the features (the “Roles” plugin) which allowed the creation of Reseller packages for your installation. With this plugin, you could create sub-installations which contained features which you specified inside the Roles plugin.  These sub-installations form a complete ecommerce system, complete with memberships, affiliate programs, you name it!

(Note: In many ways, I agree with John D’s decision to remove this feature.  From a developers standpoint, it didn’t really belong inside the cart software.  It represents a higher tier of the application logic, and in my opinion should be re-created as a separate product – a kind of “super-delavo” or “Delavo-manager” – a new “platinum” level maybe, with a bunch of free gold accounts?)

Luckily for us, Ian Del Carmen, owner of Fireball Group of Companies, kept an installation of the software at Fireball Cart at the older version, with the Roles plugin installed.  You can read about the site on the homepage here, but notice – the order button is disabled.  That’s because Ian decided to stop selling FireballCart from that page.  However, I was lucky and managed to snag a reseller license for the product.   It’s a full install of Delavo ™ from before the removal of the “Roles” plugin.  It’s got every plugin that was available at that time, and is all you need to create your own online store.  The servers are top class, and the domain is certified by Thawte.
